The New England Patriot have been there and done that.
The Atlanta Falcons? Not so much.
The fact New England has been a frequent visitor to the Super Bowl and Atlanta hasn’t seems to make the former team a strong favorite to win today’s 51st Super Bowl in Houston.
Indeed, it’s hard to pick against the Patriots and their iconic coach Bill Belichick and living legend of a quarterback Tom Brady. But I am.
Any trace of doubt I had had about the Falcons evaporated when they sliced and diced up then red-shot Green Bay Packers. With their MVP quarterback Matt Ryan as the orchestrator, the Falcons can score points with the best of them.
Today’s game should be a thriller, with no shortage of entertainment, and as much as I want to see Commissioner Roger Goodell hand the Lombardi Trophy to New England czar Robert Kraft, I don’t see it happening.
Prediction: Falcons 34, Patriots 27.
