A Super Bowl favorite before the season, the Green Bay Packers are a train wreck, sitting with a 4-5 record after dropping three straight games and four of the last five.
Now the Packers are in Washington D.C. to face the Redskins (5-3-1), who are in the hunt for an NF playoff spot and a better team than they were last season when the Packers beat them at home in the playoffs.
While the Packers are expecting outside linebacker Clay Matthews back, the defense will struggle again. A week after Tennessee tight end Delanie Walker torched them, the Packers have to face an offense loaded with weapons, including two talented tight ends in Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis.
While most would assume the Packers are due for a breakout performance, don’t expect it to come this week.
Prediction: Redskins 31, Packers 24
